Not the Bar-B Barn

We are in Montreal. It is normal for us to pass through Montreal, but not actually stay and enjoy the city. Checking into our hotel, we were asked "are we sensitive?" Hotel 10 has an after hours club and they are shooting a video tonight. We might hear some thumpa - thumpa - thumpa from the dance floor. We were certain that we would be OK. We probably will not be fine.

Old Montreal (close to the hotel) is an area of Montreal that has been preserved from the early 1900s. I thought that it might be a bit older. Full of good restaurants. Lots of people walking and reading the menu boards. Really very nice. Carol thinks that she saw one of the FIFA women's soccer teams out for stroll through "Vieux Montreal". A minor disagreement occurred during dinner. Carol thought that the hostess was not wearing enough clothing. I just thought that it was warm out tonight. All of this disagreement because Carol would not go to Schwartz's Deli.

The pavers have been installed for a few days. The landscaping is done. The lighting is installed. The water system works. We are taking possession of the courtyard. Taking possession means sweeping and keeping it clean and making certain that the furniture is arranged. We may even have to entertain. Oh, I forgot to mention, the fire pit arrives tomorrow at 10AM. It goes in the back courtyard - therefore no picture of the back courtyard yet.

I am working to perfect fish tacos. Bronwen and Glenn arrive this weekend. They will likely be sick of fish tacos when they leave, but when they leave I expect to be a master of the fish taco.

Sunday was Super Bowl Tennis. Carol and I played for the Boston Patriots. The Seahawks won the tennis tournament.

I don't often drink beer, but when I do, I drink Caguama | December 22, 2013

My favourite beer and I can only get it at Ralph's just down the street. 32oz of beer from El Salvador for $1.99, and it helps me earn a further discount at the gas pumps. Cross-marketing is a wonderful, wonderful thing; the more I drink, the further my car will go.

Bought three pot lights at Home Depot and had an electrician install them (bill to come). They buzzed. Called him back and he said get a new dimmer. Installed a new dimmer as recommended by Home Depot. They buzzed. Bought new spotlights and installed them myself (electrician money spent). No buzz yet, but not finished. I am playing tennis at Shadow Mountain (uppity tennis club) this morning and do not have time to finish the job.
